Hey all, I've been doing a ton of research for a job I'd love to score. Lindy has been a big help but I'm always snoopin' around for more. This product claims it can be used directly over a clean vct/cutback glue covered floor. What's more is that you can begin your overlay or micro-topping in just a bit over 2 hours. Has anyone used it and does it in fact work?

Thanks in advance...Brad

Got my Intrest

Hey Brad,

What is the Name of the product you are talking about? I think color maker has an overlay you can apply over glue..., but I would love to give yours a try. Except, usually if it sounds too good to be true....it is!!

About a year or so ago Scott

About a year or so ago Scott Richards, the owner of the company that formuates/manufacturers Seams Perfect was in Houston/TX ... live in Waco/TX about 180 miles away.  I have an inqurining mind, with this product being of interest to me; therefore, we decided to meet 1/2 way in Bryan/TX.  Spent hours in deep diiscussions with Scott; when leaving I felt that I had gained a great deal of insight and a foundation of knowledge in reference to its place in the industry and unique characteristics.

Scott Richards is the man I

Scott Richards is the man I talked to and the company is SSM Inc. We talked for quite a while. I asked all kinds of questions and he had an answer for all. He added that most on-line resources for concrete/deco crete were very sceptical at first but the product had proven itself. Many different ways to use it including a fabric cladding/primer process that meets all criteria for encapsulating asbestos in flooring. He also said it was tintable. Any paint store could do it if willing.

He sent me some literature and I have been looking it over as time allows. It may fit in to alot of projects that I may have initially walked away from.....

seamsperfect

Hey Lindy..I talked to scott also..I think he is doing himself a diservice by not sending out samples.  I have a couple of very small tile decks and want to cover them..but, I don't want to buy five gallons up front.  I want to test this first.  I also look forward to hearing from anyone who has tried seamsperfect and had success over a period of time.

As they say, we all have a

As they say, we all have a little "Missouri, the show me State" (Missouri's motto) running through our veins (regardless of where we call home in the USA or abroad).  As contractors, we are sceptical in relation to anything that we are unfamiluar with; therefore, for self preservation purposes (since our reputation for high quality is our greatest asset) we have an integral need to test/evaluate and get the feel of applying various materials, coating/sealers, stains & colorants, and the entire scope of trade related products...it is sort of like test driving a car before committing to purchase it (even though it is brand new car, we still want to get behind the wheel, see how it manuvers around, and check out its features to see if it is the one for us to invest in or not).  I thought he did have it in smaller amounts than 5's for "test driving purpose;" however, the references of those that I know of that have applied it are varifiable/satisfied.
