Hello All,
I have 500 sq feet of concrete in my house that I would like to look like marble. I have chosen the color (Deco Sup) rusty brown.
Just to make sure I have the right idea after prepping the floor I was going to;

1) Dilute the acid with H20 in half and spray on with a 2L pump sprayer.
Then

2) Dilute the acid 3/4 to 1/4 H2O and spray randomly on with a 2L pump sprayer.
Then

3) 100% acid concentration and spray randomly on with a 2L pump sprayer.

Does this technique sound right to achieve the "MARBLE" look ????

Any feed back or suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thank you !!!

This is the look I want except without the scored lines.

Ive never heard anything like

Ive never heard anything like that before. Acid stain will give you a "marbelized" look without doing what youre saying.

noods, this is where it gets

noods, this is where it gets a little more complicated,,, depending on the label's directions, if you're using just 1 color acid-stain, you can do it as you suggested OR as miss replied,,, when you start using more'n 1 color, it depends on the specific gravities ( darks overpower lights ).

we like 2 or 3 light coats rather'n 1 heavy,,, watch out for drips as they'll show up in the final product so carryin' a rag to blot 'em's a great help.

Where do I start? It sounds

Where do I start? It sounds like you haven't used Acid Stain before. expereinced professionals understand the products and can do a lot of crazy things. Although Acid Stain is somewhat 'mysterious' its realy not once you've done 3-4 jobs. Acid stain reacts differently depending on how you apply it and what colors are layered. Acid stain is designed to highlight the natural variations found in concrete. Does your concrete have nice marble like variations? you might learn a lot by visiting www.concreteideas.com. You may consider hiring a professional who understands Acid Stain. It can't be taught in a paragrapg in a forum. Best of luck.
