Maintaining acid stained concrete floors

Acid stained concrete floors are essentially easy to maintain if you follow a systematic schedule and know what to use. Every acid stained floor is sealed because otherwise they would be easily stained and would no have the depth and gloss that make acid stained floors look so good.

The sealer protects the stain from staining, chemicals, traffic, wear etc. These sealers are usually acrylics, epoxies urethanes,or other. Each sealer will give a different quality to the floor but the on thing all these concrete sealers have in common is that although they provide protection against wear and chemicals they are subject to scratching.

To reseal a floor is very hard, time consuming, costly, and frankly, not practical at all. So how do we protect the sealer? we use a wax or floor finish designed to go over sealers, these floor finishes provide extra protection against scratching, are easily fixed and regular mopping and cleaning with a neutral cleaner is enough to keep the floors looking good for a long time.
